In a recent announcement, Luhur Budianda, the Head of Tourism for West Sumatra, revealed that Lion Air would facilitate direct flights from Padang to Surabaya, providing passengers with a seamless travel experience. The direct flights will depart from Juanda International Airport in Surabaya, expanding Lion Air’s network to five key destinations: Pekanbaru, Padang, Kendari, Ambon, and Ternate, all commencing in January 2024.

Lion Air Daily Flights Commencing January 17, 2024

Commencing on January 17, 2024, Lion Air will operate seven weekly flights on the Surabaya (SUB) to Padang (PDG) route, designated as flight number JT-258. This route will cater to the burgeoning demand for travel between these cities, known for Padang’s culinary delights and breathtaking natural landscapes.

Convenient Flight Schedule for Travelers

The flight schedule for this route is designed to accommodate the needs of travelers, with departures from Surabaya at 13:30 (JT 258) and from Padang at 16:35 (JT 259). Lion Air’s commitment to providing reliable and efficient services is evident in its daily operations, boasting over 44 domestic destinations across Indonesia and international routes to Singapore, Malaysia, China, and Saudi Arabia. With an impressive daily average of 627 flights, Lion Air has firmly established itself as a key player in the aviation industry.
